As. is the case.with PORV$,.the installation arrangement of the block valves is, ~epend~nt,_in most cases, on the vendor which supplied* the NSS system~ - Those.. systems supplied *by Babcock and* Wilcox*or*Combustion

- Engineering generally use a vertical configuration and those supplied by Westinghouse.generally.use a horizon~

tal configuration (vertical and horizontal referring_to

the. flow direction of the valve effluent).

Irtlet piping configurations are the same as for the PORVs and range from direct mounting on a pressurizer nozzle to a run of horizontal/vertical piping from the pressurizer to a valve location some di~tance from the pressurizer.
