Place particulate pre-filter place to prevent buildup of radioactive particulates on cartridge.

Screw on retaining and attach sample head .to air sampler . . Turn on sampler and adjust air flow to 1. 0-2. 0 cfm. Note initial air flow reading and time.when sample collection started. A ten (10) minute sample should be taken. At the end of 10-minute sample period, note airflow reading and time and turn off sampler. Remove cartridge frc.m sample head and place cartridge in polyethylene Record: -a. Date. . b. Starting and ending tiu.e . **Initial and final air flow. d. Location and include with cartridge.

Analysis Take carfridge to* low background ar.ea or use lead bricks to shield if background radiation levels exceed 300 c?m
