PHILADELPHIA ELECTRIC CO. ANN 0UNCED REALIGNMENT OF CORPORATE NUCLEAR MANAGEMENT On October 9, 1987 Philadelphia Electric Co. announced the following changes to corporate nuclear management:
- John S. Kemper - Senior Vice President, Nuclear Operations
- Graham M. Leitch - Vice President, Limerick Generating Station
- Dickinson M. Smith - Vice President, Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station
- Joseph W. Gallagher - Vice President, Nuclear Services
- S. Joseph Kowalski - Vice President, Nuclear Engineering This action provides for a corporate officer at each nuclear plant and is specifically intended to elevate the level of the plant in the company's curporate management struc ture'.
The Company is also reconstituting the Nuclear Review Board to include membership of senior nuclear executives from outside the Company, and to provide for a direct reporting relationship to the office of the Chief Executive and to the Board of Directors. The Nuclear Review Board will be responsible for a continuing assessment of nuclear operations and management, early identification of potential problems, l and assurance of prompt corrective actions.
These changes will become effective November 1, 1987. Philadelphia Electric has made a press release.
