Dear Mr. Wilson:

Enclosed are twenty copies of Revision 2 (3/99) of the AP600 Design Control Document (DCD). One copy is for the docket file. Mr. Jerry N. Wilson of NRR will provide the appropriate distribution for the other nineteen copies. One copy of this AP600 Design Control Document revision is being provided directly to Mr. Wilson for his use in developing the AP600 design certification rule. This DCD provides the reference basis for the AP600 design cenification mle.

'Ihis submittal incorporates two comments requested by the NRC technical staff and makes two editorial changes. In addition, the name of Westinghouse is changed to reflect the recent change in ownership of the company. Attachment I provides a summary of the changes made as a part of the 3/99 revision to the AP600 Design Control Document. There are no technical changes to the AP600 design as a result of this revision. Attachment 2 provides the page change instructions to incorporate the enclosed 3/99 revision into the AP600 Design Control Document.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.30(b), this revision is submitted under the attached oath or affirmation.
