l-Enclosed is a copy of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff's Final Safety Evaluation Report (FSER) for the Westinghouse AP600 design. During our meeting in September 1997, I l promised you that the NRC would send you a copy of the FSER as soon as it was published.
l - The staff completed its review and issued a Final Design Approval and the FSER on September 3,1998. It took several weeks to publish the sizeable document.
I trust you will find the FSER usefulin your review of the AP600 design. If you have any further -
