AP600 PROBABILISTIC RISK ASSESSMENT, REVISION 9

Dear Mr. Quay:

Enclosed is Revision 9 of the AP600 Probabilistic Risk rasessment (PRA) Report. A list of the sections included in PRA Revision 9 is provided in Enclosure 1. Revision 9 of the PRA is provided as Enclosure 2. The PRA sections have been revised to incorporate commitments Westinghouse made in responses to numerous RAls, correct typographical errors, incorporate material that has previously been provided to the NRC as draft material for inclusion in the next PRA revision, and incorporate  ;

additional information to resolve open items. The additional information incorporated in PRA Revision 9 that the NRC has not previously seen includes PRA Sections 59.6.3 and 59.9, Table 59-29 (external event insights only), and Appendix C.

Enclosure 2 is in the form of replacement pages rad chapters / appendices to be added ta te existing PRA report. Included with each set are the change page instructions. Thirty-seven sets of Revision U to the PRA have been sent to Mr. Joe Sebrosky for distribution within NRC, to NRC subcontractors, i and to the ACRS.

Westinghouse considers the AP600 PRA report to be final, except for Appendix A, which will follow )

once the M AAP4/NOTRUMP Benchmarking report is completed, i 1

This revision to the PRA is sufficient to allow the NRC to continue to write Chapter 19 of the Final Safety Evaluation Report.
