Ladies and Gentlemen:

In accordance with 1 O CFR 52.99(c)(1 ), the purpose of this letter is to notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of the completion of Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 3 Inspections, Tests, Analyses, and Acceptance Criteria (ITAAC) Item 3.2.00.07 (Index Number 7561.

This ITAAC confirms that the Human-System Interface (HSI) resources available at the Remote Shutdown Workstation (RSW) include alarm system displays, the plant information system, and the controls. The closure process for this ITAAC is based on the guidance described in NEI 08-01, "Industry Guideline for the ITAAC Closure Process under 1 O CFR Part 52," which was endorsed by the NRC in Regulatory Guide 1.215.

This letter contains no new NRC regulatory commitments. Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) requests NRC staff confirmation of this determination and publication of the required notice in the Federal Register per 1 O CFR 52.99.

Inspections/Tests/ Analyses

An inspection of the HSI resources available at the RSW will be performed.

Acceptance Criteria

The as -built HSI at the RSW includes the alarm system displays, the plant information system,

and the controls.

ITAAC Determina tion Basis

An inspection of the Human-System Interface (HSI) resources available at the remote shutdown workstation (RSW) was performed to verify that the as-built HSI at the RSW includes alarm system displays, the plant information system, and the controls.

The inspection utilized approved construction d rawings and RSW console and panel design specifications to perform walkdown inspections of Unit 3 RSW. The walkdown inspections compared the as -built alarm system displays, plant information system, and controls with References 1 through 4 to confirm that the HSI resources available at the RSW include the alarm system displays, the plant information system, and the controls.

The inspection results are documented in Unit 3 Principal Closure Document (Reference 5) which confirm that the HSI resources available at the RSW includes the alarm system displays, the plant information system, and the controls.

Reference 5 is available fo r NRC inspection as part of Unit 3 ITAAC 3.2.00.07 Completion Package (Reference 6).

ITAAC Finding Review

In accordance with plant procedu res for ITAAC completion, Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) performed a review of all findings pertaining to the subject ITAAC and associated cor rective actions. This review found there are no relevant ITAAC findings associated with this ITAAC.

IT AAC Completion Statement

Based on the above information, SNC hereby notifies the NRC that ITAAC 3.2.00.07 was performed for VEGP Unit 3 and that the prescribed acceptance criteria were met.

Systems, structures, and components verified as part of this ITAAC are being maintained in their as-designed, ITAAC compliant condition in accordance with approved plant programs and procedures.
