Dave Gasperson, 404-997-4417 NRC to Hold Fuel Cycle Facility Construction Oversight Workshop The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will host a hybrid Construction Oversight Workshop for commercial fuel cycle facilities at its Atlanta office on Aug. 15.

The one-day workshop is open to the public and will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time at Marquis One Tower, Suite 800, 245 Peachtree Center Ave., NE, and online via Microsoft Teams.

The workshops goal is to encourage an open dialogue about the NRC's construction oversight program for commercial fuel cycle facilities. Its also intended to gather feedback from stakeholders, including the public, licensees, applicants, and industry organizations.

The NRC staff will present updates and proposed revisions to the construction oversight program and share lessons learned from recent construction projects, along with assessments made during construction and operational readiness reviews. The agenda will include time for questions related to the regulatory issues discussed during the workshop.
