PILGRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATION -REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE REQUEST TO CHANGE THE PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN - ALTERNATIVE MEASURES (EPID L-2020-LLA-0230)

Dear Ms. Cowan:

By letter dated October 5, 2020 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession (ADAMS) No. ML20283A292), Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (HDI) submitted a license application request (LAR), as supplemented on December 10, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20346A047), seeking U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review and approval of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Physical Security Plan revision and license amendment application to incorporate alternative measures.

The NRC staff is currently reviewing the submittals as a license amendment request. The NRC staff has determined that the additional information is needed to complete the review.

Therefore, the NRC staff requests additional information as specified in the Enclosure. In order to continue the review of the subject license amendment request, please respond to this request for additional information no later than February 25, 2020.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
