SUMMARY
OF MEETING HELD ON MARCH 5, 1979 TO DISCUSS FIRE PROTECTION FOR BEAV VALLEY DOCKET N0. 50 7 g On March 5, 1979, representatives of Duquesne Light Company met with NRC staff at the Beaver Valley Site.
Attachment A lists attendees.
The draft fire protection Safety Evaluation, with special attention to proposed modifications was discussed with the licensee and corrected as appropriate.
Changes and additions were made to the list of scheduled completion dates for proposed modifications.
Attachment B lists proposed modifications.
An explanation was provided of requirements for quarterly training of fire brigade members to maintain proficiency.
The requirement that fire hose stored outside would be hydrostatically tested every 18 months was agreed to by the licensee.
All proposed modifications for the fire protection program are scheduled to be completed by the end of the 1981 refueling outage.
