Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-334 Fire Protection System Implementation Schedule Centlemen:

In my letter of February 21, 1979, we provided schedule dates for the implementation of miscellaneous items relating to the Fire Protection Program at the Beaver Valley Power Station.

We have not been able to successfully implement two of these items by October 31, 1979, as originally scheduled.

The installation of temporary fire detectors in the area containing the Unit No. 2 Control Room which is under construction will be completed no later than November 9, 1979.

We are in the process of procuring four doors with a three hour fire rating for installation to replace certain doors which have less than a three hour fire rating.

These doors will be installed as soon as possible af ter they are received.

Our anticipated date for completion of this activity is June 30, 1980.
