This is to confirm our intent to conduct a survey of your emergency data system capabilities for possible use as part of an Emergency Response Data System (ERDS). As I discussed with you a team of two individuals (Michael Hawkins, NRC and Gary Bethke, COMEX) will be arriving at Palisades 9:00 a.m. on Septem-d ber 8,1986 and at Big Rock Point at 9:00 a.m. on September 11, 1986 to conduct j
the survey.
If acceptable we will start with a brief introductory meeting d
followed by the survey of your available data and computer characteristics.
'j For your information, I am enclosing a list of the individuals we expect we need to speak with a copy of the ERDS survey checklist to be used during the visit.
Please realize that not all items on the checklist to be used during

It deals with a broad spectrum of systems, because it was intended
'l to cover all licensed nuclear reactors.
