from the edge of the duct flange to the centerline of j the bolt.

6. Fans
a. Fan Wheel Clearance Verify fan wheel clearance by spinning wheel slowly by hand to check if. fan blades clear the fan' housing. If the fan is operational, the Inspector has the option of verifying clearance through audible or visual means, i.e.: observe for unusual vibration, scuffing noises, etc.
b. Flexible Connections
1. Configuration , ,

Verify flexible connections are provided where indicated on the Gibbs and Hill drawing.

V 2. Connections Verify that all nuts, bolts and lockwashers exist and that nuts and bolts cannot be turned by hand. '

Record any missing nuts, bolts or lockwashers. The  ;

equipment flange should form a tight seal with the ~

flexible connection mating flange. Where an adaptor or ductwork is located between the fan and L flexible connection, verify that all flange connections between the fan and flexible connection form a tight seal, i.e.: no visible gaps.
