Reference 1) requested addressees to perform certain inspections of 4
Westinghouse DS series circuit breakers used in Class 1E applications.
Reference.3) provided TV Electric's interim response. Reference 4) provided the results of the NRC review of TV Electric's interim response. Provided below.is TV Electric's final response to NRC Bulletin 88-01 for Unit 1. Our final response for Unit 2 will be provided prior to Unit 2 fuel load.
We have determined that there are a total o; 48 Westinghouse type DS-416 breakers installed in Unit 1 Class 1E applications. No other type DS or DSL breakers identified in reference 1 are used in Unit 1 Class 1E applications The pole shafts on all 48 Unit 1 05-416 Class IE breakers have been replaced with new pole shafts from the vendor. The replacement pole shafts were receipt inspected and accepted per the short term and long term inspection requirements contained in reference 2 as modified by reference 1. The alignment check specified by reference 2 was satisfactorily performed during the installation of the replacement pole shafts in the breakers.
