The purpose of this letter is to respond to NRC Bulletin No. 88-01 dated Febru-try 5, 1988. The bulletin addresses deficiencies exclusive to Westinghouse D9/DSL type circuit breakers and outlines specific inspections to be performed. The Westinghouse breakers used at the Cook Nuclear Plant are type DB 50; Westinghouse DS/DSL t.ype circuit breakers are not used in the Cook Nuclear Plant.

Therefore, the inspection requirements of the NRC Bulletin 88-01 are not applicable to Cook Nuclear Plant.
