Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 IE Bulletin 88-01 (TAC 65955/65956)
The subject Bulletin refers to safety concerns with Westinghouse DS circuit breakers. GPUN has reviewed the bulletin and the breakers used at the Oyster Creek Station in IE application. The results of this review have determined that Westinghouse DS circuit breakers are not utilized in any 1E application at the Oyster Creek Station.
Our review did indicate the use of such breakers ia non-1E applications.
Specifically, breakers were purchased frorn a vendor with a Square-D label.
Upon investigation it was discovered that these breakers were originally purchased from Westinghouse and are of the DS model. These breakers are used in non-1E applications and will be included in GPUN's Preventive liaintenance Program.
