Pursuwt to the Freedom ofInformation Act ($ U.S. . S$2), I am requesting access to all information relating to the, discovery of four kittens contaminat with radiation on Feb. I,1996, at San Onofre Nuclear Generating St'stion. The kittens were found inside th Unit ! restricted area, and they set off radiation alarms when oarried through esit portals. I have Lie e Event Report No. 96 001. I would like any additional reports, updates, advisories or other info etion related to this event.
I am a reportE for the Nonh County Times news and wTite stories for which this information is an important eleinent. The information concerns gote ent operations and activitics, namely the control of radiation released by commercial nuclear pow er pl , and these records will contribute to my understandint of these operations and activities. My report will significantly contribute to the public undentendint of this c>ent.
