SUBJECT:

DAILY HIGHLIGHT The low power Itcense for Diablo Canyon Unit 2 was issued on April 26, 1985 as authorized by the Comission on April 23, 1985. The Unit is ready for fuel load at this time; however, in acenrdance with the PG8E comitment not to load fuel in Unit 2 while testing is being conducted on Unit 1 fuel load will not begin until May 1, 1985. At that time it is expected that the testing on Unit I will be complete. Unit 1 is scheduled to reach full power on May 1.

Unit 2 is expected to reach criticality in late June and will exceed 5% power in early July (i.e., will need a full power Itcense).
