DIABLO CANYON UNIT 2 OPERATIONAL READINESS REPORT (MC-94300)

This letter transmits the second Region V report summarizing the readiness of l

Diablo Canyon Unit 2 for issuance of an Operating License. The attached report only includes those sections needing updating rather than the total historical profile previously included in our first report. The licensee has informed the Region that the schedule for operations as previously stated is not achievable. The fuel load date is now set for late February. The attached report reflects the expected schedule changes.

It is anticipated that by early February 1985, sufficient work will have been accomplished b:' the licenseg and reviewed b the staff to significantly reduce the number of outstanding i,tems. At t ime if warranted, a recommendation and updated evaluation will be provi d.
