STRUCTURAL, TEAM REVIEW PLAN FOR DIABLO CANYON UNIT 2 i

Enclosed is a sumary of review activities that the structural team plans j

to undertake during its Diablo Canyon Unit 2.re-evaluation. These review activtt.ies will primarily be in the technical area, but an effort will also be made to assure procer interfaces and documentations and timely implementation of resolut.ons reached during the re-evaluation process.

}

The Structural Team recently conducted two audits: one during the week of October 1-5, 1984 in San' Francisco and the other on October 18, 1984 at City College of New York. We are planning another audit for the week of November 6-9, 1984.

When the re-evaluation is complete, the Structural Team will prepare a report sumarizing the review activities and providing our conclusions.

. 1 The following are the review activities that the Structural-Team will undertake to complete the re-evaluation of Diablo Canyon Unit 2.

Verify the as-builts used in generating the seismic model.

Assess the computer programs used in the analysis for proper verification.

Review the results of the analysis.

Assess the adequacy of response' spectra generation and documentation.

with the FSAR commitments.
