TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR DIABLO CANYON UNIT 2.-

PG&E recently proposed Tech. Specs. for Diablo Canyon Unit 2 (letter DLC-84-309,

' dated 09/21/84).

In accordance with the supplement to NRR Office Letter No. 38 (H. R. Denton, July 23,1984)- these proposed Tech. -Specs. need not be reviewed N;

by you.

The Tech. Specs. for Unit 2 will be the same as for Unit 1, except as necessary for design differences. The Unit 1 Tech. Specs. are those that were issued originally with the Unit I low power license in September 1981 and subsequent amendments. The Unit 2 Tech. Specs. will also include the Tech. Spec. changes j

from the proposed Amendment 10 for the Unit 1 full power license (issuance l

pending the results of hearing before U. S. Court of Appeals.

All of these changes have been incorporated by the licensee in a Tech. Spec.

package for Unit 2 which is currently being reviewed by F. Anderson, SSPB.

The package also includes typographical and consistency corrections and will be the set of Tech. Specs. for Unit 2 to be issued with the Unit 2 operating
