SUBJECT:

DIABLO CANYON UNIT 2 SCHEDULE

]

l This is to advise you of a potential slip in the Diablo Canyon Unit 2 schedule.

The latest fuel load date from PG&E is late November, as also reflected in the current Bevill Schedule. We believe the date is overly optimistic. NRR review and evaluation is underway with DE being the most involved. DE does not expect to complete their effort before mid December of 10/10/84, (see enclosed memo R. Vollmer to D. Eisenhut).

In my opinion an SSER issue date of mid January is more realistic.
