November 7, 1988 VIA TELECOPY John H. Frye, III, Chairman Dr. Oscar H. Paris Mr. Frederick J. Shon Atomic Safety and Licensing Board U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D.C. 20555 Re: Docket No. 50-322-OL-5R

Dear Mr. Chairnan and Members of the Board:

In its October 12, 1988 Memorandum and Order, the Board scheduled a Conference of Counsel for November 23, 1988, at 10 AM at the NRC hearing room in Bethesda, Maryland. Based on past experience, one would expect the Conference to last at least into the early afternoon.

Counsel for'the parties have made arrangements to attend on November 23. However, being the day before Thanksgiving, that hearing time is somewhat inconvenient, especially for counsel who must travel on the afternoon of November 23.

The undersigned has conferred with counsel for all parties and is authorized to state that all parties are amenable to moving the Conference to any time on November 22, provided that the full agenda contemplated by the Board can be completed on that day. If this is agreeable to the Board (and subject, of course, to the availability of the hearing room), it is respect-fully requented that the Board amend its schedulo.

Sincerely yours, f,h$$ 1 Lawrence Coe Lanpher cc: Donald P. Irwin, Esq. ,
