-was- found guilty under the Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). In essence, the verdict of the

,,, , seven Fember' civil jury found L.I.L. Co . - and former company president, Wilfred O. Uhl, guilty of intentional deceit in gaining - rate increases by knowingly providing false information to the New York Public Service Commission concerning the progress of the Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant.

In as much as L. I . L Co. and certain of its officers-intentionally deceived a state regulatory agency is it not extremely possible that the company also presented false information to the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission in seeking-a license for the shoreham facility?

We the undersigned are requesting that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission impose an immediate moratorium on all applications submitted by L.I.L. Co. which seek a. license for the Shoreham facility. Additionally, we are requesting' that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission thoroughly review all prior information submitted by L. I . L. Co. that involves the Shoreham Nuclear Power facility to determine the veracity, accuracy, and

authenticity of said data. We do so in.what we believe is the best' interests of the public's health and safety.
