- l. LER NUMBER: 82-025/03X-1 II. LASALLE COUNTY STATION: Unit I til. DOCKET NUMBER: 05000373 IV. EVENT DESCRIPTION:
On 5/16/82 and 5/17/82, while performing LTS 300-4, integrated Leak Rate Test, the Drywell Equipment Drain Sump Pump auto started and pumped down the sump.
Valves 1RE024 and 1RE025 opened when the sump pump auto started because the control switches had inadvertently been left in the auto position.
V. PROBABLE CONSEQUENCES OF THE OCCURRENCE The volume discharged from the sump inserted a minor error into the data collected for the integrated leak rate test, the error was in a conserva-tive direction and the collected data did not exceed any limitations in the test procedure.
With no Irradiated fuel on site and Unit 1 In shutdown mode the unit was in a safe condition at all times.
VI. CAUSE On 5/16/82 during a discontinuation of test LTS 300-4, the control switches for valves IRE 024 and 1RE025 were taken out of the closed post-tion to pump down the drywell equipment drain sump and to provide adequate -
volume in the sump when the test was continued. Although the valves were in the closed position, the control switches for the valves were inadvert-ently left in the auto position.
i Vll. CORRECTIVE ACTION The control switches for valves 1RE024 and 1RE025 were returned to the close position.
, Operating personnel and technical staff personngl have been informed that when testing is Interrupted.the prerequisites snould be reviewed to ensure that necessary conditions are still met before continuing the test procedure. Prior to performing another ILRT, the procedure will be revised to ensure that the test engineer is notified of any disturbances to the initial line-up.
