Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. _

Docket No. 50-334 Request For Amendment To Operating License No. 41 Gentlemen:

Enclosed are three signed originals and thirty-seven copies of a proposed " License Condition" concerning secondary water chemistry monitoring.

The incorporation of the proposal license condition as one of the conditions of the operating license will permit the elimination of Apper61x A Technical Specification 3.7.1.6 and Table 3.7-3 as well as the elimination of the associated surveillance requirements '.7.1.6 and Table 4.7-3.

We, therefore, request that the referenced sections of the Beaver Valley Technical Specifications be deleted.

Safety Evaluation The implementation of the secondary water chemistry monitoring and control program as described in the proposed license condition will asoure that secondary water chemistry is maintained such that corrosion of steam generator tubes is minimized. The deletion of the associated technical specifications will remove unnecessary restrictions on operati>nal flexibility.

A check in the amount of $4000.00 for this Class III Amendment is enclosed.

Very truly yours, C. N. Dunn Vice-President, Operations Enclosures 7 10 040 3 V9 \095 f U f
