This-letter provides information on the acceptability of rescheduling our response to Item 4b, Neutron Flux Monitoring

-Instrumentation, of the Regulatory Guide 1.97 Safety Evaluation Report (SER) for the-Beaver Valley. Power Station (BVPS-1). 'The response; was to.,be submitted by. August '15, 1990~ predicated on a prior meeting with' the -NRC Staff.
As indicated in our previous.

. response to the SER, we have pursued resolution of the issue with j
other. utilities which will-.also ba represented at the meeting.
During.telecon discussions on August 3 and-6, 1990 between i

.i meeting prior to August:15 between the NRC Staff and the Utility Group Representatives could :not be arranged ~because.of personnel schedules.
.However, Mr.
DeAgazio determined that it would be
- acceptable; to delay the-DLC response until after1the meeting..
The'.
-nearest _ possible future date. for the-meeting will be arranged -
presently targeted,for mid-September.
The rescheduling of the DLCo response will be determined.on or shortly,after the meeting.
