SUlVMARY: The plant entered the month at 100% power. On August 4, 1998 while performing EDG-2 monthly operability test, EDG-2 reactive load oscillations were observed. As a result, EDG-2 was declared inoperable and in accordance with Technical Specification 3.8.1.F the plant was shutdown. On August 22, 1998 the plant was returned to operation and achieved full power on August 23, 1998.
