RESPONSE TO 15E INSPECTION REPORT 80-14 Finding: As required by Technical Specification 4.8.1.1.2.c.6, diesel generator load sequence tim..rs are required to be operable (;i thin a tolerance band o; +1 -second-As required by Technical Specification 6.9.1.9.a, a <<ritten repn> t must be submitted to the Regional Director <<nothin thirty days if:

"reacto~ protection system or engineereJ safety feature instrument settings which are found to be less conservative than tfiose established by the technical specifications but iAiich do rot prevent the fulfillment of the functional requirements of affected systems".

P Contrary to the above, on April 1, 1979 the lice'nsee's per(or:.iance of OP 040050, Periodic Integrated Test of the En<'ineer d Safety Features, sho'.ved that nine timeis <.ere outside the + 1 second tolerance band and no report i;as submitted.

Response: A Licensee Event R-port is being prepared to report the results of the 1979 integrated test of engineered safety features (Reportable Occurrence 335-80-2~). Thi ~ report > ill be submitted o i or before June lb, 1980.

The responsible indJividuals have been ma(le a>;are of the oversight to report the situation described in the finding ard have been instructed on the need for reporting.

Full compliance <<ill be achieved upon tie submittal of R0-335-80-2~.
