Docket No. 50-206 Fire Protection Program Review San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 Our letter dated June 30, 1982 provided plans, schedules, and design descriptions, as required by the May 10, 1982 Commission Order concerning compliance with the safe shutdown requirements of Appendix R to 10 CFR 50 at San Onofre Unit 1. The purpose of this letter is to correct an error in our June 30, 1982 letter, related to the exemption.requests from the schedular implementation requirements for the Modifications and Additions identified in the enclosures to our June 30, 1982 letter.

Items 1 and 2 of the paragraph commencing at the bottom of page 3 request an exemption from the schedular implementation requirements of 10 CFR 50.48(c)(3) and (4) for Modifications and Additions to "no earlier than the schedule indicated on page 2 above."

The correct statement should be "no earlier than the schedule indicated at the top of page 3."
