EXTENDED POWER UPRATE (EPU) - RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR SCHEDULE REGARDING ANALYSIS FOR STEAM DRYERS (TAC NOS. MC3812, MC3743, AND MC3744)

By letters dated June 28, 2004 (ADAMS Accession No. ML041840109) and June 25, 2004 (ML041840301), TVA submitted applications to the NRC for EPU of BFN Unit 1 and BFN Units 2 and 3, respectively. The NRCs January 25, 2007, letter to Karl W. Singer (TVA) requested that TVA provide a schedule for the submittal of the steam dryer analysis and an outline of the revised steam dryer approach which establishes a success path for EPU operation. The letter further stated that the outline should include plans to address the justification of the similarity between the units, the analysis assumptions, and the plans for the development of limiting curves for the startup power ascension.

TVA will provide a submittal with the steam dryer analysis by April 2, 2007. The requested outline will be provided with the analysis.
