i CESSAR-DC Amendment "V" Overview Page 1 Chanter 1 - Introdur'. ion and General Plant Descrintion Editorial change., were made to Sections 1.1,1.2,1.4,1.6,1.7,1.8 and 1.9. Tables in Sections 1.2,13,1.4,1.6, 1.8,1.9 and 150 were updated. Applicable Generic Letters and NRC Bulletins from 1980 through 1993 were added to Tables 1.8-2 and 1.8-3. Editorial and consistency changes were made to Tables 1.8-5 and 1.8-6.

Tables 1.8-8 and 1.8-9 were updated to reflect the change from Appendix A to Chapter 20 for closure of US1s/GSIs. Editorial changes were made to Table 1.9-1. COL action items corresponding to requirements identified in the Advanced FSER were incorporated into Table 1.10-1. Figures 1.2-1,1.2-24 and 1.2-25 were updated.

Chanter 2 Site Envelone Characteristics Table 2.0-1 was revised in response to an ACRS question.

Editorial changes were made to Section 2.5 and Figure 2.5-1. Appendix 2A was revised for consistency.

Figure 2A-1 was deleted, and nomenclature on Figures 2A-2,4,5,8, and 11 was updated. Appendix 2B was revised for consistency and Figures 2B-5,9,13,17, and 21 - 23 were updated.

Chanter 3 - Desien of Structures. Components. Eauipment and Systems Responses to ACRS questions were incorporated into Sections 3.3,3.4,3.6,3.8 and Appendix 3.8A.

Editorial and consistency changes were made in Sections 33 through 3.11. Tables 3.2-1,3.9-13,3.9-15 and 3.11-2 were updated. Editorial changes were made to Figures 3.7-10 and 3.7-26.

Editorial and consistency changes were made in Appendices 3.6A,3.7B,3.8A,3.8B,3.9A and 3.11A. Figures 3.7C-8 through -13,3.7C-23 through -28, and 3.7D-42 through -47 were updated. Tables 3.8A-3 and 3.8B-1 were revised. Figures 3.8B-3 through -11 were added to Appendix 3.8B. LBB Piping Evaluation Diagrams shown in Figures 3.9A-30 through -36 were updated. An editorial change was made to Figure 3.11A-2.

Chanter 4 - Reactor Consistency and editorial changes were made to Sections 4.2 through 4.5. Consistency changes were made to Tables 4.2-1,43-1 through -4,4.4-1, and 4.4-8. Changes were made to Figures 4.2-9, 4.2-10, 4.2-12, 43-2, 43-25,43-31,43-53,43-58 and 43-63 in response to NRC reviewer comments.

Chanter 5 - Reactor Coolant System and Connected Systems Editorial and consistency changes were made to Sections 5.1 through 5.4, Tables 5.1.1-1 through -3,5.2-2, and 53-7. Table 5.4.7-2 was revised for consistency between SCS and Containment Spray System in resp (mse to NRC reviewer questions. Figures 53-4,5.4.2-5 and 5.4.10-1 were revised. Consistency changes were incorporated into Appendices SD, SE and 5F.

_ Chanter 6 - Encineered Safety Features Sections 6.1 through 63 and 6.5 through 6.7 were updated for consistency and to incorporate editorial changes.

Section 6.1.1 was revised to close out DSER 016.1-4; Section 63.4.1 was revised to close DSER 01633-1; and Section 6.7.1 concerning RDS sizing analysis was clarified to close DSER 01 6.7.2-1. Editorial and consistency changes were made to Tables 6.1-4,6.2.1-1,6.2.4-1,63.21,6333-1, and 6.5-2. Table 6.5-3 was revised for consistency between SCS and Containment Spray Systems per NRC reviewer comments. Section 6.8.5 concerning testing and inspection of the IWSS was added to resolve consistency review comments.

CESSAR-DC Amendment "V" Overview Page 2 Appendices 6B and 6C, concerning boron dilution during a small break LOCA, were added. Tables 6B-1, 6C-1,2 and 3; Figures 6B-1 through 3, and Figures 6C-1 through 5 were added.

Chanter 7 - Instrum.ntation and Control Section 7.7 was updated to respond to ACRS concerns regarding fire materials.

Editorial and consistency changes were incorporated into Sections 7.2,73,7.5 and 7.7. Tables 7.5-2 and 7.5-3, and Figure 7.2-10 were updated.

Chanter 8 - Electric Power Sections 8.1 and 83 were revised in response to NRC reviewer comments, and to incorporate editorial changes. Consistency changes were incorporated into Tables 83.1-2,3,4. Table 83.2-4 was updated. New Figure 83-1, Electrical One-line Symbols, was added; Figure 83.1-1 was updated.

Chanter 9 - Auxiliary Systems Sections 9.2 and 9.5 were updated to respond to ACRS questions.

Editorial and consistency changes were implemented in Sections 9.1,9.2,9.4, and 9.5. The fuel handling and storage system in Section 9.1 was updated in response to reviewer comments. Tables 9.2.1-3,9.2.2-2,9.2.2-5, 9.4-1 and 9.4-5 were updated. Section 9.5 was revised for consistency with the USI/GSI #106 [Ch 20]

response. Section 9.53 regarding system lighting and Figure 9.2.10-1 were revised in response to NRC reviewer request.

Chanter 10 - Steam and Power Conversion Section 103 was updated in response to ACRS comments.

Editorial and consistency changes were made to Sections 10.1 through 10.4 and Table 10.2.4-1.

Chanter 11 - Radioactive Waste Manacement Sections 11.1 through 11.4 were updated to incorporate editorial changes and for consistency with ITAAC.

Tables 11.1.13,11.2-2,11.2-6, and 113-4 were revised to reflect doses at the exclusion area boundary or to incorporate editorial changes.

ChaDier 12 - Radiation Protection Sections 123 and 12.4, including Tables 123-5 and 12.4-4 were updated to respond to ACRS mncerns regarding cobalt content in materials.

Sections 12.1 and 123 were revised for consistency with the Advanced FSER.

Chanter 13 Conduct of Onerations An editorial change was made to Section 133.

Chapter 14 - Initial Test Procram Revised Section 14.2 per discussion with reviewers, to address PRA insights and commitments to the NRC, and for 11 ROP confirmatory valve testing. Section 143 was updated to address the role of the initial test program in the Certified Design Material, and to incorporate editorial and consistency changes.

CESSAR-DC Amendment Y Overview Page 3 Chanter 15 - Accident Analyses Table 15A-10 in Appendix 15A was updated.

Chanter 16 - Technical Snecifications No changes were made to this chapter.

Chanter 17 - Ouality Assurance Section 173 was revised to respond to ACRS questions.

Editorial and consistency changes were made to Sections 17.1,17.2 and 173.

Chanter 18 - Human Factors Ennineerine 4 An editorial change was made to Table 185.4-1. Sections 18.6,18.7,18.10 and Table 18.7.1-1 were revised in response to NRC reviewer comments and to incorporate editorial changes.

Chanter 19 - Probabilistic Risk Assessment Editorial and consistency changes were made to Sections 19.2 through 19.9; and Sections 19.11 through 19.16.

Sections 19.8,19.11 and 19.12 were revised per agreement with NRC reviewers to incorporate additional PRA insights. Various tables in Sections 193,19.5 through 19.9,19.11,19.12 and 19.15 were updated. Minor revisions were incorporated into Appendices 19.5B, RSC and 19.6A. Appendix 19.8A was revised per agreement with NRC reviewers to provide additional information in response to RAI #440.170. New Section 19.15.6 was added; the section previous provided as 19.15.6 was renumbered as 19.15.7. Editorial changes were made to Figures 19.63.2-1 & 2, 19.113.1-3, 19.11.4.1 3-1 & 2.

Appendices 19.11G, Equipment Survivability in Severe Accidents, an, 19.11H, Containment Fragility Curve Evaluation, were added. Figures 19.11G-1 and 2 were added. Editorial changes were made to Appendix 19A l

and various tables in Appendix 19A. '

Chanter 20 - Closure of Unresolved and Generic Safety Issues This chapter was completely reset, and replaces the previous Appendix A. Editorial, technical or consistency changes were made to USI/GSI-106, A-31, A-43, and B4)5. Revisions were made to A-44, Station Blackout, and A-13, Snubber Operability Assurance. GSI/TMI Items 24, 70, 87,118,142, B-17, B-36, C-1, I.C.9, I.G.2, II.E.6.1,IIJ3.L nad II.K.1(5,10,13) were added to respond to reviewer requests.
