This letter transmits a revision of the severe accident mitigation design alternatives Technical Support Document (TSD) required for the System 80+ Environmental Assessment (Attachment 1). The revision, made at t.he request of the NRC staff, removes the discussion of Mrmal operation since such operation is not pertinent to enn purpose of the report. Also, since this TSD (not CESSAR-DC) is the basis for the System 80+ Environmental Assessment, reference to the cost-benefit analysis in Appendix 19A of CESSAR-DC has been removed from the TSD. To clearly identify the changes, markups of the previous document (reference) are provided in Attachment 2.
