Dear Sirs:
This letter transmits the Combustion Engineering System 80+' Design Control Document (DCD) and an affidavit. This DCD is based on the Combustion Engineering Standard Safety Analysis Report for Design Certification (CESSAR-DC) with revisions through Amendment W, the System 80+ Certified Design Material, the System 50+ Emergency Operations Guidelines, and supplemental material submitted in References 1,2, and 3. This supplemental material includes changes agreed upon with the NRC Staff for the development of the System 80+ DCD, a design change (Reference 2),
significant editorial changes, and minor technical consistency corrections. Minor editorial revisions such as spelling corrections and format changes (e.g., using bullets to identify lists) have been described generally to the NRC Project Managers but have not been transmitted formally. There have been no other changes in the development of this DCD.
