Combustion Engineering Standard Safety Analysis Report - Design Certification (CESSAR-DC), Amendment X

Dear Sirs:

This letter transmits three (3) copies of Amendment X to CESS AR-DC, the System 80+* Standard Plant Standard Safety Analysis Report. Amendment X makes CESSAR-DC consistent with the latest version of the Design Control Document (DCD) which has been certified in 10 CFR 52 Appendix B. The enclosed copies of CESSAR-DC have Amendment X incorporated, and are complete replacements for the existing version of CESSAR-DC. An affidavit for this tot :ittal is attached.

Amendment X is essentially a reprint of CESSAR-DC that incorporates revisions made to the Approved Design Material in the DCD during the Design Certification process. For tbc most part, CESSAR-DC was reprinted using the DCD clectronic files to make the format of CESSAR-DC and the DCD as consistent as feasible. All CESSAR-DC pages are designated Amendment X, except for the following:

• CESSAR-DC Chapter 19, Probabilistic Risk Assessment,is much more extensive than DCD Chapter 19. Therefore, CESSAR-DC Chapter 19 was not reprinted in its entirety. Only the pages affected by DCD changes were revised and designated Amendment X; ' ' '

e CESSAR-DC Chapter 16, Technical Specifications. was not reprinted in its

- entirety. Only the few pages affected by DCD changes were revised and y' 10 .
