='See enclosure for explanation.

The excellent agreement achieved for this test indicate that difficulties encountered during the previous test have been resolved and the laboratory is under good control.

To assure continued good control, it is important that more frequent use of internal quality control spiked solutions and/or blind splits be instituted in the measurements program.

The results of such tests should be documented and made available for review.

With this report open item No. 85-23-01 is closed.

0.75 0.80 0.85 2.5 2.0 1.66 1.33 1.25 1.18 Com arison Divide each NRC result by its associated uncertainty to obtain the resolution.

(Note:

For purposes of this procedure, the uncertainty is defined as the relative standard deviation, one sigma, of the NRC result as calculated from counting statistics.)

2.

Divide each licensee result by the corresponding NRC result to obtain the ratio (licensee result/NRC).

The licensee's measurement is in agreement if the value of the ratio falls within the limits shown in the preceding table for the corresponding resolution.
