- WNP-2 This letter refers to the special assessment of the safety/security interface at Washington Nuclear Project Number
(NRC License No. NPF-21)
conducted by Mr. L. R. Norderhaug of this office and G. Bryan, K. Byers, R. Hadley and J. Martin, NRC consultants, September 9-18, 1985.
It also refers to the routine inspection of selected aspects of your security program and to the discussions of the findings held by the assessment team with Mr. C. Powers, D. Bouche and members of their staffs on September 18, 1985.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection report.
Within these areas, the assessment consisted of selective examinations of procedures and records, interviews with facility and contract personnel, and observations by the team.
Within the scope of this assessment, no violations were observed.
In accordance with Section 2.790(d) of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, documentation of findings related to your security program and procedures for protecting your facility are exempt from public disclosure; therefore, the enclosed inspection report will not be placed in the Public Document Room and will receive limited distribution.
We have determined that the enclosures so designated contain Safeguards Information and therefore are subject to the controls of 10 CFR 73.21.
