A project status meeting was.held, at the request of WNp-2 project Management, on November 6, 1981, at the NRC Region V-Office, San franoisco, California.

The prinicipal purpose of the meeting was.fqr the li,censee to describe the status of the project reverification program, evaluation of independent design review by contractors, and the review effort on the quality of radiographs and integrity of welds in safety-related systems.

"RCSW-Quality Verification Instruction Manual, WMC-007.."

Construction management (Bechtel) will oversee the contractor's activities and will be responsible for the total program.

Bechtel's systems completion responsibility will be integrated with. on going work.

The reverificati.on program.includes quali,ty assurance records review, hardware reinspection, system walkdown, and special tasks related to deficiency document review, personnel qualifications, and receiving inspection.

Lesson Learned - The lessons learned program was established in January 1981.

Since then,,55 bulleti,ns have been issued, and a special bulletin on WNP-2 management issues was published on August 28, 1981.

Special audits are being performed to assure lessons learned are being considered at all projects.
