Areas Inspected This routine announced inspection involved 32 inspector-hours on site in the areas of surveillance testing and Bulletin and Circular followup.

Results Of the two areas inspected, no violations or deviations were identified.

Followup on IE Bulletins (Closed) IEB 80-11 - The licensee's response of. March 9, 1981, stated that all of the concrete block walls had been analyzed and that seventeen of the walls required modification and that the modifications had been completed.

The inspector reviewed the drawings for the modifications and visually verified that the modifications for Unit I had been properly completed.

This bulletin is considered closed.

However, NRR review may generate additional questions, which could re-open this bulletin.

(Closed) IEB 80-21 - The licensee documented, for all of the applicable valve manufacturers, that no valve yokes from Malcolm Foundry were used.

This bulletin is considered closed.

(Closed) IEB 80-23 - This bulletin is considered closed, based on the verification of the licensee's replacement of the solenoids, which was documented in IE Inspection Report 50-369/81-04.

(0 pen) IEB 80-24 - This bulletin was reviewed but remains open until the licensee has established periodic surveillance and calibration procedures for the primary containment sump level switches.

Followup on IE Circulars (Closed) IEC 80-05 - The licensee has a 1000 gallon lube oil tank piped to the diesel generators. The tank level is monitored in the monthly diesel generator operability test. The licensee agreed to place the same priority on the lube oil reserve supply as that of the fuel oil reserve supply.

(0 pen) IEC 80-04 - This circular was reviewed but remains open until a method of tracking problems with the securing of threaded locking devices is

established.

(Closed) IEC 80-09 - The licensee satisfactorily completed the pre-opera-tional test on Internal Communications (TP/1/B/1350/01) on 1/16/81.

audibility of the public address system was verified by walkthrough by the inspector.

The licensee is preparing a periodic test to assure the

continuing functioning of the internal communication system.

(Closed) IEC 80-10 - The inspector looked at maintenance procedures and they adequately cover the continued environmental qualifications of equipment.

(Closed) IEC 80-12 - The licensee has reviewed valve operators for lower than horizontal orientation and documented there were none. The inspectors i

walkdown of various systems also verified that there were none.

(Closed) IEC 80-23 - The licensee's diesel generator's electrical system is not manufactured by Beloit Power Systems and this circular is closed.

Monthly Operational Surveillance The inspector observed surveillance testing required by the technical specifications; specifically, the monthly operability testing of the

Auxiliary feedwater pump per FT/1A/4252/01B. Tne testing was performed and evaluated satisfactorily. No violations were found in this area.
