Pipe Support Base Plate Design Using Concrete Expansion Anchor Bolts - IEB 79-02 This inspection was a followup of that reported in RII Report 50-338/79-29 and 50-339/79-37 during which Unit I was not inspected for work observation because it was at power.

Unit I was in a shut-down status during the present inspection so that access and inspection of base plate anchors inside the reactor building containment shell was possible.

A general visual inspection of base plates and anchors was conducted in the reactor building and the auxiliary building. About sixty plates in the reactor building and about one hundred plates in the auxiliary building were inspected.

The following complex base plates and anchor bolts were selected from those inspected and the QA,'QC documentation for these plates and anchor bolts was audited within the purview of the IEB 79-02 installation and documentation requirements:

Control" form No. 4907, to fix the ongoing anchor bolt / base plate problem, did also meet the requirements and intent of IEB 79-02.

This inspection will sctisfactorily close out the field inspection require-ments of IEB 79-02.

No items of noncocpliance or new unresolved items were identified.
