D. R. McGuire, Chief, Security Section Inspection Summary Areas Inspected: Included review of security organization, vital area physical barriers; access control (identification, authorization, badging and search);
testing and maintenance; lighting and followup on previous enforcement raatters.
The inspection involved 28 inspector hours on site by one NRC inspector. The inspection was begun during an offshift period; 4 inspection hours were accom-plished during offshift periods.
Results:
Of the seven areas examined during the inspection, three apparent items of noncompliance were identified in three areas.
1.
Physical Barriers - Two sections of vital area barrier not constructed of required material (80-35-01).
2.
Access Control - Failure to search hand-carried packages entering the protected area (80-35-02).
3.
Testing & Maintenance - Failure to provide documented evidence of quarterly personnel evaluation of equipment use performance (80-35-03).
