- a Enclosure 1 PG&E Letter DCL-03-129 SEPTEMBER 2003, OPERATION SUMMARIES DIABLO CANYON POWER PLANT UNITS I AND 2 Summary of Unit 1 Operation Unit 1 remained in Mode 1 (Power Operation), at approximately 100 percent power during September 2003. There were no significant operational activities.

Summary of Unit 2 Operation On September 27, 2003, operators reduced power to approximately 83 percent for main turbine valve testing. At the conclusion of the testing, operators completed the ramp to approximately 100 percent power by late that night. With the exception of this planned power reduction, Unit 2 remained in Mode 1, at approximately 100 percent power during September 2003.

Actuations of Pressurizer Safety or Power Operated Relief Valves There were no challenges to the pressurizer power operated relief valves, pressurizer safety valves, or steam generator safety valves.
