CONDITIONS PRIOR TO OCCURRENCE:

Hot Standby, Mode 3 DESCRIPTION OF OCCURRE~CE:

At 2100 hours0.0243 days <br />0.583 hours <br />0.00347 weeks <br />7.9905e-4 months <br />, while verifying flow transmitter calibration, No. 11 Stearn Generator Stearn Flow Channel II was found to be indicating low.

Technical Specification Action Statement 3.3.2.1, Action 14, was im-plemented.

Instrumentation personnel recalibrated the transmitter and at 2300 hours0.0266 days <br />0.639 hours <br />0.0038 weeks <br />8.7515e-4 months <br />, the channel was declared operable.

Action Statement 3.3.2.1 was then terminated.

DESIGNATION OF APPARENT CAUSE OF OCCURRENCE:

• The cause of this occurrence was transmitter drift which was in the non-conservative direction.

All remaining steam flow channels were operable.

ANALYSIS OF OCCURRENCE:

Technical Specification 3.3.2.1, Action Statement No. 14, states that

- with the number of ope~able channels one less than the total number of channels, operation may proceed until the performance of the next required channel functional test, provided the inoperable channel is placed in the tripped condition within 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br />.

No. 11 Stearn Generator Stearn Flow Channel.II was placed in the trippeq condition within 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br /> and remained in that condition until it was returned to operable status.

CORRECTIVE.ACTION:

No. 11 Steam Generator Stearn Flow Channel II transmitter was recalibra-ted to within the Technical Specification value.
