Haddam Neck Plant Status of Proposed Changes to Technical Specifications A recent submittal (l) by Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) in response to Generic Letter 83-43, Reporting Requirements of 10CFR Part 50, Section 50.72 and 50.73, prompted discussions with the Staf f.
The purpose of this letter is to clarify the status of our recent submittal.
In 1982(2) CYAPCO proposed changes to Appendix A (Sections 1.8, 4.10, 6.5.2, and 6.2.1) and Appendix B (Section 3.1.1) of Haddam Neck Plant Facility l Operating License. The proposed changes to Appendix B were superseded by a submittal in February,198313) stemming from Yellow Creek, ALAB-515. The propo d changes to Appendix A were also superseded by a submittal in May, 1983.4) in the July 9,1985 submittal, CYAPCO and Northeast Nuclear Energy Company submitted proposed changes to the Technical Specifications for the Haddam Neck Plant as well as Millstone Units No. I and 2. These changes were proposed as a result of Generic Letter 83-43. This submittal superseded the May,1983 proposed changes for the Haddam Neck Plant Technical Specifications Section 6.9.

CYAPCO is awaiting NRC disposition of ' proposed changes to the Haddam Neck Plant Technical Specifications, as identified in our submittal of May 2,1983.
With the exception of a change to Section 6.9, now addressed in our submittal dated July 9,1985, we have not reflected the previously proposed, but not yet approved, changes in our latest submittal. The net affect of the above discussion is that we request that the Staff issue an amendment which would revise Appendix A as shown in Attachment 1.
