RESPONSE1.Reasonfordeviation:

FPLhasinvestigated

thisdeviation

withtheoperators

involved.

Becauseofthetimelapse(greaterthan15months),nospecificreasonscouldbegivenastowhytheywouldhaveenteredstarttimesforthedieselsinexcessofthedesignvaluesandnothavenotifiedtheresponsible

supervision.

Subsequent

entriesinthesamedatasheetarewithinthedesignvaluesandrecordsofmaintenance

activities

shownoconclusive

evidencethatstarttimeswereaffected.

Inaddition,

thedieselsweretestedaspartoftheintegrated

responsetimetestsforsafeguards

equipment

inJulyandfoundtobesatisfactory.

steps:Sincethedieselshadmetthedesignstarttimessubsequent

tothedatesidentified,

noimmediate

actionwastaken.3.Corrective

stepstoprecludefurtherdeviation:

FPLhaschangedthemonthlydieselperiodictesttorequirethedesignstarttimebeverifiedwithinspecifications.
