Clinton Power Station Response to Generic Letter 87-06, Periodic Verification of Pressure Isolation Valves, dated March 13, 1987
Dear Sir:
Generic Letter 87-06 was sent to all operating license holders in order for the NRC Staff to obtain the methods used to assure the leak-tight integrity of pressure isolation valves for protecting against reactor coolant pressure boundary leakage and failure. The pressure isolation valves function as independent barriers for the reactor coolant pressure boundary and their integrity must be ensured. This letter is in response to the March 13, 1987 Generic Letter. The requested Technical Specification listing of all pressure isolation valves, associated integrity tests, and the test frequencies are provided.
