Forked River Nuclear Station (FRNS)

Docket No. 50-363 Licensing No. CPPR-96 Inspection No. 80-02 This letter is to provide you with a further update of the soil erosion control and stabilization projects being undertaken at the Forked River Site as stated in our July 28, 1982 letter. Below is a listing, by area, of the progress made since July 28, 1982:

1) Dredge spoil slope north of the firepond and south of sedimentation basin #3. Stabilization and revegetation of area was completed on June 15, 1983.
2) The banks of Oyster Creek between the southern access road to FRNS and the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (OCNGS)

Discharge Canal. Revised permit app 11 cations have been filed with the Ocean County Soil Conservation District for work to be conducted in this area. Work will be initiated upon receipt of required permits; area to be revegetated in 1984-85.

3) The backfill soil stockpile. The stockpiled soil is to be used as fill to backfill the Forked River excavation site. After completion of this activity, the pile site wf11 be revegetated.
