Forked River Nuclear Station Docket No. 50-363 Licensing No. CPPR-96 Inspection No. 80-02 This letter is to provide you with an update of the soil erosion control and stabilization ef forts being undertaken at Forked River Site as stated in our September 17, 1981 letter. Below is a listing, by area, of the progress made thus far.
- 1) Dredge spoil slope north of the Firepond and south of sedimentation basin #3. Soil stabilization work began on May 4, 1982 work is approximately 50 percent compl e t e . Estimated completion date is August 30, 1982.
- 2) Barge Unloading Facility: The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection required additional permits.
Based upon anticipated permit issuance of August 1982, work should be completed by October 1982.
- 3) Oyster Creek banks between the south access road and the discharge canal. Due to continuing financial constraints, work on this project is being deferred until 1983.
- 4) West of the Energy Spectrum and north of sedimentation basin #2. Work has begun on the area and is scheduled for completion in Summer of 1982.
- 5) The backfill stockpile: The northern perimeter has been lined with new haybales. .
