Dear Mr. Young:
Enclosed are six numbered copies (Numbers 5 through 10) of Revision I of the AP600 Security Design Report. This revision to the AP600 Secunty Design Report formally submits to the NRC for their review the details of the AP600 secunty design. including the physical protection features, security boundary drawings and vital equipment list.
Security planning features of the AP6(X) and the resulting reduction in security force requirements will be resolved as a part of the AP600 design certification rulemaking.
This information was developed by Southern Company Services under a subcontract to Westinghouse Electric Corporation. The AP600 project copies of this report will be maintained by SCS.
The application for review of the AP600 for final design approval and design certification was submitted to the NRC on June 26,1992. This information is to be considered a part of that re view .
This submittal contains information related to a licensee's or applicant's physical protection which we consider safeguards information within the definitions of 10 CFR 73.2 and 10 CFR 73.21(b). The information contained in this submittal should be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.790(d).
