SUMMARY

The Unit began the month at full power. On 12/24/2003, the unit was manually taken off line due to a failure of the Main Condenser boot seal. After repairs, the Unit was tied to the grid on 12/29/2003 and achieved full power on 12/30/2003. Subsequently on 12/30/2003, power was reduced to 81% because of an electro-hydraulic fluid leak on one of the Main Feedwater Pump control valves. The affected Main Feedwater Pump was secured, and after repairs, the Unit was returned to full power on 12/31/2003.
